There’s nothing quite like reeling in a prized catch. Whether you’re out on a deep-sea charter boat or cruising the local lake or river, that feeling in your gut when the rod pulls and you see the fish breach the surface for the first time is unlike any other.
As avid boaters, many of our Sea Tow captains are also experienced anglers. Just last month, Sea Tow New Orleans Capt. Christian Orfanello reeled in a Sheepshead that landed his name in the Louisiana record books.
Early on the morning of January 6, Capt. Chris felt a tug on his line. He set the hook and began to reel. After a bit of a fight, Capt. Chris pulled a big one onto his boat – a prized Sheepshead weighing in at an astonishing 11.82-pounds.
That fish slotted the captain at No. 9 in the Louisiana record books! Even better – just minutes later, he landed another monster –a 9.33-pounder!
Capt. Chris’ big day even got a mention in his local Marsh & Bayou Magazine. He’s a man of many talents!
