National Safe Boating Week is a week-long event that brings safety awareness to boaters prior to the start of the summer boating season. Right now, we’re in the thick of it! This year, National Safe Boating Week is celebrated from May 16-22, 2020 and the Sea Tow Foundation created a fun daily activity to remind boaters and their families how to keep boating fun and safe.

To accomplish this, the Foundation is sharing daily social media posts on Facebook and Instagram as well as showcasing a blog series for the week featuring a fun “mystery phrase” game. Every blog features a secret letter, which at the end of the week spells out a mystery phrase. If you’re interested in the blog series, each one is listed below:

May 15 – Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day
May 16 – Sober Skippers Belong on Every Boating Trip
May 17 – Emergency Signaling Devices are Required
May 18 – Attach an Engine Cut Off Device
May 19 – Text Someone Where You’re Going
May 20 – Open a Book and Learn About Boating Safety
May 21 – Wearing Life Jackets is Important
May 22 – Find out the Mystery Phrase
