If you need on-water assistance, the best thing to do is call Sea Tow® by cell phone first. It provides immediate two-way communication, allowing us to gather all the details needed to service you as quickly as possible.

First, call your local Sea Tow. The number is located on your membership card or digital membership card.

You can also call Sea Tow’s Customer Care Team \ 800-473-2869

When calling for on-water assistance, have the following information ready to expedite your call and dispatch:

  1. Your current location (GPS coordinates preferred).
  2. Your boat details: Include make, length, color, name (if applicable), and any identifying features that will help distinguish your boat.
  3. Nature of distress/description of the problem you are having.
  4. Your travel route: Where you departed from and where you’re heading to.
  5. Crew Information: How many people are on board? Is everyone in good health and wearing life jackets?
  6. Anchoring Status: Let us know if your anchored or adrift.
  7. Best callback number: Share your phone number and whether you have a working VHF radio on board.

No cell service? Hail Sea Tow on VHF channel 16. Offshore with no service or you’ve hailed Sea Tow on channel 16 with no response? Hail the Coast Guard and ask them to relay to Sea Tow.

IMPORTANT! IN AN EMERGENCY, LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION, ALWAYS HAIL THE COAST GUARD FIRST ON VHF CHANNEL 16.
